After you complete checkout for web hosting in Sri Lanka through Ceyora, our system automatically provisions your hosting account. Here is exactly what to expect and how to get your website online quickly.
Step 1 — Order confirmation
You will receive an order confirmation email with your invoice and plan details. If payment requires verification (such as bank transfer), your account activates once payment is confirmed.
Step 2 — Welcome email with login details
Once active, a welcome email is sent containing:
- Client portal login URL and credentials
- cPanel URL, username, and password
- Nameserver information for your domain
- Server hostname or IP (for FTP and DNS setup)
Step 3 — Connect your domain
If you registered a domain with Ceyora, DNS is usually configured automatically. If your domain is elsewhere, update nameservers at your registrar to the values in your welcome email. DNS propagation can take 2–24 hours.
Step 4 — Build or upload your website
Choose one of these paths:
- WordPress — Install in one click via Softaculous in cPanel
- Custom site — Upload HTML, PHP, or other files to the
public_htmlfolder - Website builder — Use tools available in cPanel if included with your plan
Step 5 — Enable SSL and test
Run AutoSSL in cPanel to activate your free SSL certificate, then visit your site using https:// to confirm everything works.
